The Orange County School Board held a special impasse hearing to resolve four disputed issues in collective bargaining with the Orange County Classroom Teachers Association. The board voted unanimously to adopt proposals on teacher wages, a three-year retention supplement, health insurance changes, and a supplement for district nurses. - Approved three-year retention supplement for instructional employees: $500–$3,000 based on years of experience
- Adopted health plan starting Oct 1, 2022 with no premium changes, adding SureFit Plan, higher out-of-pocket costs
- Approved 5% of Lead Nurse's base salary as supplement for district nurses
- All motions carried unanimously (8-0)
