WATERFRONT WALKWAY SID MEETING MINUTES June 9, 2026 at 6:30 PM Borough Hall, Edgewater, NJ   Participants : Ron ald Klempner , Rich ard Bettini , George Ivaldi , Tiffany Jonassen , Elise Morrison , Greg Franz, and via Zoom Levie Johnson, Kunda Kindra Absent: Yosef Oz , Jill Sullivan 1) Call to Order at 6:30pm and Roll Call 2) Approval of Minutes of May Meeting – Mr. Berttini motioned to approve, Ron Klempner seconded . Unanimously approved. 3) Trash Collection — shifting to Sunday AM pick up from Saturday pickup. 4) Treasurer ’s Report – Mr. Ivaldi reported on balances and activities. 5 ) IRS Tax Exempt Letter was received. 6 ) Grant Proposals – Decided to pursue the NJDEP Living Shoreline grant proposals because NJDEP requires prospective projects to be shovel ready requiring 30% engineering by July 31. 7 ) Outback Steakhouse Fundraising Event – Mr. Bettini reported that the SID ’s share of the event was $625 . 8 ) 10K Race a) Mr. Klempner reported that all the Mayor ’s off all towns along the race route have approved the race. Unanimously approved. 3) Engin e ering a) Neglia Engineering Survey Update – digitized Walkway map to ut ilize for grant submissions; Rich Bettini reported that he was dis satisfied with the initial format so Neglia redid i t, but he cannot open revised map due to password protection. Rich will continue to follow -up with Neglia. 4) Trash Collection — garbage is overflowing by Saturday night so proposal to add a 4 th d ay at $325 per day for Spring/Summer months, which w ould add approximately $4k to the SID b udget. Before adding a fourth pick up day during the Spring/Summer months, will ask East Coast Environmental to shift pick-up days from Monday, Wednesday and Friday to Monday, Thursday and Sunday. SID will monitor garbage overflow to determine if this change in the garbage pickup schedule addresses the overflow.
