✓ Decided: Board grants generator variance at 5638 Aberdeen Road
The Board of Zoning Appeals unanimously approved a variance for Philip Meyer (MacIntyre Family Trust) to install an emergency generator at 5638 Aberdeen Road, allowing it to be located 5.5 feet from the property line (instead of the required 12 feet) and to exceed 75 dBA at the property line (reaching 79.43 dBA). The approval is subject to staff conditions, including obtaining a generator permit and paying the fee, and voiding approval if a building permit is not obtained within one year. The board found the five variance criteria met, citing the small lot, support from neighbors, and the generator's placement behind the garage.
- Approved variance to Fairway Municipal Code 15-298(6) for emergency generator at 5638 Aberdeen Road, allowing location within 12 feet of property line and exceeding 75 dBA (unanimous)
- Approved minutes from September 29, 2025 meeting (unanimous)
- Adjourned meeting at 5:42 P.M. (unanimous)
