The Freetown Historical Commission will discuss a request from the Freetown Veterans group to relocate the stone monument at 4 Corners to Chace Road Veterans Park, noting strong resident opposition to moving it from the Assonet Village Historic District. Chair Margaret French called the Freetown Finance Committee meeting to order at 6:31 PM, confirming the

The Chair noted that approval of these three sets of minutes would bring the Committee fully up to date,
acknowledging that keeping pace during budget season is always a challenge. All members confirmed they had
reviewed the minutes. The Committee proceeded to approve all three sets together in a single motion.
Motion to approve the minutes from 5/06/2026, 5/18/2026, and 6/01/2026 was made by Craig Cabral and

The Freetown Cemetery Commission will reorganize for the new year, appoint a superintendent and assistant superintendent, and review a draft of revised cemetery rules.
