Ashley Morris, Gillespie County Emergency Management Coordinator:
There are 4 total cases in Texas and 1 case in New Mexico. On
June 8
th at noon, the USDA confirmed a goat case in Gillespie
County. The response to screwworm is State led. The agencies in
charge are the USDA at the Federal level, the Texas Animal Health
Commission at the State level, as well as AgriLife and the Texas
Parks and Wildlife. We are working with the State currently to
determine what the next steps will be after the USDA has confirmed
that case.

WHEREAS, the Gillespie County Courthouse and the Pioneer Memorial Library (collectively, the
“Courthouse Complex”) are significant historic and civic landmarks that have long served as the
center of government, education, and community life in Gillespie County; and
WHEREAS, these historic structures are recognized for their architectural, historical, and cultural
importance and contribute to the heritage and economic vitality of Gillespie County; and

FREDERICKSBURG , TEXAS
Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Gillespie
County Commissioners Court will be held on T hursday , the 8 th day
of January 202 6 , at 2: 0 0 p .m. in the Gillespie County Courthouse ,
Fredericksburg, Texas, at which time the following subjects will
be discussed, considered, passed or adopted, to-wit:
Meeting called to order at 2:01 p.m. by County Judge Daniel Jones
Executive Session – 2:02 p.m.
Open Meeting – 3:01 p.m.
1) Consultation with County Attorney and/or outside legal counsel
regarding contemplated or pending litigation involving the
County's interests concerning the proposed Rogers Draw Battery
Energy Storage facility in Harper, Texas, and the proposed
Marshall Springs Solar Complex and Battery Energy Storage
facility on State Highway 16 N, and legal strategy related
thereto; and take appropriate action related to same. (Executive
