zoningdevelopmentbullard-roadeconomic-developmentplanning
✓ Decided: Council directs staff on Bullard corridor, prefers offices over warehouses
The City Council discussed three policy questions regarding multi-family housing, vacant commercial corners, and industrial development along Bullard Avenue. Council expressed a preference for multi-family housing over single-family homes along freeways if commercial development is not feasible, and for being patient but not overly so with vacant commercial corners. For the Bullard corridor, Council directed staff to pursue a medical/tech/office vision rather than warehouse/logistics, with high design standards.
- Preferred multi-family housing over single-family along freeways if retail/commercial not feasible
- Expressed support for case-by-case evaluation of vacant commercial corners, with limited patience
- Directed staff to develop Bullard Avenue as medical/tech/office corridor, not warehouse/logistics
- Emphasized high design standards for industrial development in the corridor
