CALL TO ORDER The Common Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Miller at 6:32 PM on Monday, August 3, 2026. B. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE C. ROLL CALL Present in person were Mayor Tom Miller, Richard Thoman, Corinne Wartenweiler, Matt Sheaffer, Craig Franke, Dylan McGuire, Christopher Vestin, and Darlene Voelkli. Absent were Hiedi Treuthardt and Dave Mosher. D. CORRECTION OF MINUTES - JULY 20, 2026 The minutes for July 20, 2026, were accepted as presented. Alder Mosher joined at 6:35 PM. E. PRESENTATIONS OF PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATION F. BUSINESS BY MAYOR 1. Eugene Hotel Grand Opening Presentation Mayor Miller thanked Street Supervisor Luke for providing the recent Street Department tour. He also informed the public that Police Chief Foltz is looking into education and enforcement efforts related to the safe operation of e-bikes and scooters. Chris Soukup shared a few remarks regarding the reopening of the hotel the previous Friday and expressed his appreciation for the City's support throughout the project. He also invited the public to attend the official open house and ribbon cutting on August 19 at 12:00 p.m. Members of the Common Council expressed their appreciation for the project and the revitalization of the hotel.
