I.
CALL MEETING TO ORDER:
Council Pro Tempore McMasters called the meeting to order at 10:00am and asked for a
nomination from Council to pass the gavel as he was calling in due to being ill.
Council Member Bullard nominated Council Member Werstler.
There being no further nominations Council Pro Tempore McMasters asked for a motion to
approve.
Council Member Bullard motioned and Council Member Adkins seconded the motion for
Council Member Werstler to conduct the meeting.

Mayor Lawrence offered condolences and spoke on the life of Chris Seal, Parks & Recreation

and Decatur resident Ileah Glenn with certificates for their help after an apartment complex
fire.
Chief Springer thanked Ileah Glenn for her heroic actions that while driving by, seeing
smoke, she stopped and knocked on apartment doors to help get people out during the fire.
Chief Springer thanked Pastor Amey and the Church at Stone River members for opening
their doors to the residents after the fire.
