Dorchester public meetings in 2021

County Council Meeting

The Dorchester County Council met to approve economic development incentives, including fee-in-lieu of ad valorem tax agreements for Project Steel and the Watson Hill solar project. The body also held first readings on several zoning ordinance amendments and a rezoning request for 8.5 acres at 105 & 109 Sportsman Way. Additionally, the council recognized EMS staff and approved the hiring of a grant-funded coordinator for Fire Rescue.

The Dorchester County Council approved the third and final reading of Ordinance 21-17, which authorizes a fee-in-lieu-of-tax agreement with Wiley Fork Watson Hill, LLC (Project Green-Dor) for economic development property. The council also gave first reading to a rezoning request for 8.5 acres on Sportsman Way and referred several ordinances and a growth management plan to committees for public hearings. All votes were 6-0 with one member absent.

County Council Meeting
