City Council Appointments Subcommittee

City Council Rules, Ordinances and Ethics Subcommittee

The Rules, Ordinances and Ethics Subcommittee will meet remotely to review draft minutes and continue discussing a proposed ordinance that would restrict boats and personal watercraft on Framingham bodies of water under 75 acres, including Learned Pond. The item was referred by Councilor Mallach and remains under discussion.

The Rules, Ordinances and Ethics Subcommittee voted 3-0 to approve the amended Boat and Personal Watercraft Ordinance, which includes a prohibition on gasoline-powered motorboats in Framingham water bodies under 75 acres. The ordinance will be advertised and placed on the City Council agendas for February 4 and February 25, 2025. The subcommittee also approved minutes from previous meetings.

City Council - Executive Session

Composting Task Force

The Framingham Composting Task Force will receive updates on the preferred vendor contract with Black Earth Compost, which remains unsigned, and on two grant applications: Mass DEP Wheeled Organics Cart Grant and USDA Composting and Food Waste Reduction Program. Working groups on schools, logistics, and promotion will report on progress. The meeting also includes approval of previous minutes and public participation.

City Council Financial Analyst Screening Committee

The City Council Financial Analyst Screening Committee is meeting to review and consider applications for the Financial Analyst position.
