I. Traffic Advisory Committee was asked to consider and approve that the alley adjacent to the Emmaus
House, 802 N 5th, be designated as a one-way only traffic from north to south. Request is intended to
improve traffic flow and reduce congestion of the freight truck and public pickups.
a. After consideration of both Emmaus House board Member Dawn Lunzman and the Traffic /Solid Waste
department concerning the relocation of dumpsters, Member Turley motion to leave as is and the
possibilities of educating Emmaus House staff or using temporary signage. Motion was seconded by
Member McGowan.
II. Traffic Advisory Committee was asked to consider and approve the installation of flashing cross walk sign
at Walker St & Taylor Ave near Buffalo Jones Elementary school. Request is intended to help pedestrians

REGULAR MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AND CITY CLERK ANNOUNCING QUORUM PRESENT
All members were present except Commissioner Ortiz.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG AND INVOCATION
Commissioner Landgraf opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF THE LAST REGULAR MEETING, WHICH IF NO CORRECTIONS ARE
OFFERED, SHALL STAND APPROVED
The April 1, 2025, Commission Meeting minutes were approved as presented.
PUBLIC COMMENT Agenda Schedule Allowance: 30 minutes (5 minutes per spokesperson)
Pastor Nathan Haeck, Turning Point Church of the Nazarene thanked the Spring Cleanup crew for the
recent Spring Cleanup efforts and thanked the City for the AFAC money. Pastor Nathan invited the
Commissioners to attend the National Day of Prayer on May 1, 2025, and the Community Cultural
Day on May 24, 2025, both at Stevens Park.
CONSIDERATION OF PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND REMONSTRANCES
Dr. Ryan Bingham, representing Just Serve, presented to the City of Garden City a Just Serve City
award and certificate.
The Governing Body considered and approved allowing the Mayor to proclaim the week of April 15-
22, 2025, as Garden City High School Girls Wrestling Championship Week.
Moved to Approve by Commissioner Unruh; seconded by Commissioner Landgraf.
