City Council Special Meeting

The Lafayette City Council will meet to consider exercising an option to purchase a police station property at 3471 Mt. Diablo Blvd. Staff will also present potential financing options and seek a determination that the acquisition is exempt from environmental review.

Design Review Commission

The Lafayette Design Review Commission will hold public hearings on two proposed single-family homes in the Hillside Overlay District. One project on Mt. Springs Rd. is recommended for approval, while the other on St. Marys Rd. is recommended to be continued to a future meeting. The meeting will be held via teleconference due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Design Review Commission

The Design Review Commission will hold a public hearing on a request to modify the approved 20-unit residential building at 950 Hough Ave. The changes include increasing floor area, adding an elevator penthouse, increasing parking from 25 to 45 spaces, and expanding open space. The commission will recommend whether the City Council should approve the design changes and conditions of approval.

The Lafayette Design Review Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a Hillside Development, Design Review, and Grading Permit for 19 Springhill Lane, which involves demolishing an existing 3,600 sq. ft. home and constructing a 795 sq. ft. two-story building. The commission will also vote on a consent item to continue a Hillside Development Permit for 3343 Carlyle Terrace to a later date, and elect a chair and vice chair for 2023.

Planning Commission
