City Council - Special Meeting

The Lafayette City Council will consider approving an Exclusive Negotiating Rights Agreement for 949 Moraga Road and authorize the City Manager to execute it. Design Review Commission

City Council Meeting

The City Council will consider consent calendar items including awarding a $2.5 million road paving contract and a $218,000 pathway project, as well as a resolution for federal funding for pedestrian/cyclist facilities on School Street and Topper Lane. Under old business, the council will discuss an EBMUD proposal to shorten the reservoir tower by 40 feet. The council will also confirm priorities for the next fiscal year and take positions on several state bills.

Planning Commission

The Lafayette Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to gather feedback on a proposal to subdivide a 3.19-acre lot at 3600 Oak Hill Rd for 15 single-family homes with 5 ADUs, removing 50 protected trees. The commission will also consider continuing a design review for a 90-unit mixed-use development at 1001-1009 Oak Hill Rd to April 7, 2025, and approve the 2024 Annual Progress Report. No formal action is proposed for the Oak Hill Place project at this meeting.

Design Review Commission

The Lafayette Design Review Commission will hold public hearings on three development proposals, including a major mixed-use project and two hillside home projects. They will also consider approving the February 24 meeting minutes and other routine items. The most significant item is a new public hearing for a 7-story, 172,399 sq ft mixed-use development with 90 for-sale units at 1001-1009 Oak Hill Rd, which the commission will review and forward to the Planning Commission.

Planning Commission (Joint Meeting with DRC)

The Lafayette Planning Commission, in a joint meeting with the Design Review Commission, will hold a study session on a proposed mixed-use development at 1001-1009 Oak Hill Rd. The project would replace three office/retail buildings with a 7-story building containing 90 for-sale units, 2,000 sq. ft. of commercial space, and 186 parking spaces. The commission will also consider a consent calendar item to approve a one-year extension for a subdivision modification at Lucas Ranch. No public hearings are scheduled.

City Council Meeting

The City Council will hold a public hearing on an appeal of the denial of an SB9 housing development application for a 3,735 sq ft home with a JADU at 1183 Glen Road.
