Public Comments: None
Council Liaison: City Council is working on Departmental budgets. Aviation and the golf course will be part of
the enterprise fund with no general funds available. There is a 775k decline in property tax revenue due to
lower property values.
Staff Reports: YTD we are 12% up in rounds, 25% up in revenue. Irrigation project has begun on the #2 hole.
Should be complete mid October to early November. One year after new irrigation is complete expect 40k+
rounds and we will be in the black. 3 years ago we had a 900k loss, this year is trending to come in below 200k
loss.

GCAC Work Plan:
Discussion on what to focus on. Jess to discuss with City Council on what they would like to see; clubhouse
improvements, 5 year plan?? Need to ask people in the community what changes would make the golf
course/clubhouse a better customer and community experience.

Council Liaison: City Council is working on charting revisions and the budget.
Staff Reports: Up 2% in rounds and 4% in gross revenue this June over last June. YTD up 11% in rounds and
23% in gross revenue. Trending to about 35k rounds where we were 17k 3 years ago. Trenching for the mail
lines or irrigation currently and then will work on irrigation off the mainline, which will require closing holes.
Maximum rounds for the golf course would be 55-60k rounds. Will be having a Grand Re-Opening, date to be
determined.

Council Liaison: Type 2 effluent water is used for the golf course. Type 1 has less restrictions and would
require an upgrade of the water treatment plant to be dispersed on the golf course.
Staff Reports: YTD we are 14% up in rounds, 27% up in revenue. Had over 200 rounds on Saturday & Sunday.
Rounds have gone from 17k -24k – 32k -36k. With new irrigation expect 40k+ and we will be in the black.
Expect pipe delivery between 5/11-6/3. Hopefully start mid June with November completion.
Project Muni with the Tx Golf Assoc has granted us 15k, which the city has to match. Fiscal 27-28 we project
to be In the black.

currently around $140K in the red but forecasting to be below 300K for the fiscal year. Irrigation update:
waiting on pipe delivery. May be May 1st at the latest to start for completion around Sept or October. Cart
lease is up, renewing another year at current price. Awaiting report from USGA. Discussed electric bikes &
motorbikes on the premises. Police have been notified and cameras to be installed.

access the ‘tree mitigation’ fund, but David reports that the fund is still not able to be
utilized, but that Bowden should qualify as a ‘pocket park’. There is approximately $1mil
in the tree fund, but no determination on what can be used. PRAC committee voiced
concerns about safety of the park due to lack of fencing due to heavy traffic and the
overall costs of the amenities.

Jan applied for the Texas Municipal League Director’s Association Achievement of Excellence Award. The LED

computer registration. Staff computers have been updated; patron computers are in the process.
Gayleen Rabakukk has taken over volunteer training. The old LOG newspapers are closer to being digitized,
the process has been arduous. Seven performers have been booked for the Children’s Summer Reading Program,
with one more opening remaining.
Numerous events occurred over the holidays, including a visit from Santa during the City’s Christmas Tree
Lighting. The Library also hosted a family game day early in the New Year.

discussed a few of the issues facing the Council, none pertaining directly to the Library.

LED lighting has been replaced throughout the Library. The City has installed a new internet system, and the
public computers at the Library are next in line to be updated. Cybersecurity training is required of staff. The
library's website and social media must comply with ADA requirements. An ADA compliance report of the
Library and other city facilities revealed problems that are currently being addressed. The Advisory Board’s
newest member, Joe Dahlstrom, PhD was recognized at the Texas Library Association Conference for his
outstanding leadership, career-long service to librarianship, and significant community contributions.
All summer reading programs performers are now confirmed. Jan outlined several upcoming workshops and
