Diversity and Cultural Commission

Commission to hear sesquicentennial plans, discuss cultural recognition calendar

The Diversity and Cultural Commission will receive a presentation on initiatives for Martinez's 150th anniversary (Sesquicentennial), including community outreach and Sister City engagement, and discuss establishing a new Sister City. The commission will also discuss and provide feedback on a proposed Cultural and Religious Recognition Calendar, criteria for proclamations, and appoint an ad hoc subcommittee to work with the mayor on recognitions.
