Tamarac public meetings in 2025

Special Magistrate

The Tamarac Special Magistrate will hear 17 property maintenance and landscaping violation cases at its December 17, 2025 meeting. Several cases are marked as complied or withdrawn. The magistrate may impose fines or order corrective actions for residential and commercial properties.

• 6921–7251 NW 88 Ave: non-residential property requiring parking lot resealing, curb repair, and landscaping.
• 6050 Clubhouse Dr (Banyan Lakes HOA): landscape maintenance including tree trimming and root pruning.
• 10300–10458 W McNab Rd: fence/wall/hedge maintenance for retaining wall cleaning and painting.
• Multiple residential properties cited for driveway, roof, and yard maintenance issues.

Public Art Committee - CANCELLED

The December 16, 2025 meeting of the Tamarac Public Art Committee was cancelled. No items were discussed or decided.

Sister Cities Committee

The Sister Cities Committee will meet to approve minutes from November 20, 2025, and discuss an upcoming Commission presentation. The group will also set the date for the next meeting in January 2026.

City Commission

The City Commission will vote on a new five-year police services agreement with the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) effective through September 30, 2030. Other major items include awarding a $967,318.08 contract for the Westwood Blvd East Roadway and Drainage Improvement Project and adopting the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee's incentive strategies report. First readings will consider ordinances on mandatory milestone building inspections and expanding procurement exemptions. A second reading will decide on allowing limited online sales as an accessory use in several mixed-use and commercial zoning districts.

Senior Advisory Committee

The Senior Advisory Committee will review old business items including the paratransit program, the committee website, and content for the Tamagram magazine. The committee will also discuss feedback regarding the appointment of new members. The meeting is open to the public and will set the date for the next meeting on January 13, 2026.
