MINUTES BOARD OF MAYOR & ALDERMEN SPECIAL CALLED MEETING JUNE 15, 2026 Public Hearing/Citizen Comments Ordinance 26-06: Title 18, Chapter 2, New section titled Technology Fee Brigitte Pauly had several questions regarding technology fee of $8.50 for 12 years; how much did the project cost, was there a bid process, how much revenue does that fee bring in over the next 12 years. She asked how much money was collected with the $15 added sewer charge and what that money was spent on. She mentioned requesting this information a couple of times and was referred to the budget book and doesn’t feel as though the city is being transparent. Tracy Watson commented when her gas meter was replaced, she didn’t have to pay fees. Patrick Mockmore commented about looking at other ways to pay for the water, sewer pumps etc such as grants instead of immediately passing the fees to the citizens. Edward Maglero made comments concerning the water billing issue and was told he had a ghost leak, followed up with a plumber to be told there was no leak. His water bills were the exact same for 2 months and was told they just duplicated his last months bill. He is a disabled veteran, wants to retire and live the American dream but cannot due to the increase in these fees and taxes. Jean Clark made comments concerning she has not been a victim of the water issue yet but is frustrated with the sewer fee of $15 for flushing wipes. She inquired why a household of 5 pays the same $15 as a household of …
