Miscellaneous Board Meetings

This is an organizational meeting for the Gretna Crossing YMCA interlocal board. The board will elect a chairperson and secretary/treasurer, review responsibilities, and set its meeting schedule. No substantive decisions or proposals are on the agenda.

City Council

The Gretna City Council will hold public hearings on a rezoning and plat for the Giles Creek subdivision and on proposed density and impervious coverage increases in high-density and mixed-use districts. The council will also consider several ordinances, including rezoning for Giles Pointe and Windsor West, adopting updated building codes, and approving construction payments and contracts.

The City Council approved several rezoning requests and platting for the Giles Creek and Windsor West subdivisions. The council also adopted the 2021 editions of the International Plumbing, Residential, Building, Fuel Gas, Mechanical, and Existing Building codes. Additionally, construction contracts for sewer and water main improvements were awarded.

Tree Board

The Gretna Arbor Society is meeting to discuss and plan several tree-related activities, including the Arbor Day celebration, a tree grant from NRD, and marking ash trees in the old section of Gretna. The agenda includes updates on a poster contest, a tree planting workshop, and free tree distribution. Most items are planning discussions rather than final decisions.

City Council

The Gretna City Council will consider several ordinances on second reading, including rezoning the Giles Pointe and Windsor West subdivisions, adopting updated building codes, and approving contracts for road repairs, a ground lease with ALLO Gretna, and an interlocal agreement for Cornhusker Road improvements. The agenda also includes consent items for construction payments and claims.

Planning Commission

The Commission approved the preliminary and final plat and rezoning for the Giles Creek subdivision. It also recommended approval for changes to lot area and impervious coverage requirements in three zoning districts. A procedural change was adopted for closing public hearings.

Library Board

The Gretna Library Board will hold its regular monthly meeting, including approval of minutes and financial reports, and receive updates from the library director and committees. The board will also review the Schedule Policy (2019) and the Meeting Room Policy and checklist (2019) as current business, and hear an update on the Coretech Technology Plan.

Planning Commission

Library Board
