EKPC Gas System is currently operating three engines non-stop producing a maximum capacity to generate nearly 1,400 homes. Trevor stated Republic is currently planning to hire an additional operator. Minutes Hardin County Fiscal Court Regular Meeting February 10,2026 at 3:30 p.m. County Judge/Executive Keith Taul called the meeting to order and requested a roll call vote. County Judge/Executive Keith Taul made opening comments welcoming those in attendance and previewing the agenda. He reviewed the county response to winter storm Fern. Taul acknowledged the inconveniences many faced due to ice and snow, including garbage collection and covered roads. He added that the road department used I ,600 tons of salt. He applauded the Hardin Counfy EMS on receiving the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold achievement. He also spoke on HR 557 which will reshape the shared responsibility of county jails. Fiscal Court will hold first reading of Ordinance 344-3 and approve multiple resolutions

The Hardin County Fiscal Court will conduct the first reading of Ordinance 344-3, Series 2025 FY 2025-26. It will also approve the Treasurer’s December 2025 financial report, several resolutions appointing EMS, E‑911, and coroner personnel, and a resolution amending the Social Media Policy.
