Len Sturkie and talked about his dedication to the HPC and his many years of service. He
has been a valuable member of the HPC. The HPC awarded him a plaque for his service.
5. Presentation by the Police Department
Chief Bannister stated the police department has received their recertification and was
presented a recertification plaque. A lot of hard work goes into that and he wanted to
thank his staff.
Chief Bannister also presented the Officer of the Year award. Officer Steven Buffington
was presented a plaque for the 2025 Officer of the Year.
