CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 13, 2026 Jesup City Council met in a special council meeting on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in Jesup City Hall Council Chambers, 791 6th Street, Jesup, Iowa. Public access to the meeting was accessible through YOUTUBE from a computer, tablet, smartphone, or telephone. Mayor James Masteller called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present: Denny Bell, Cindy Gosse, Andrew Hamilton, Craig Wright and Merritt Jones. Absent: None. Motion by Gosse, seconded by Wright, to approve the agenda. Motion carried 5:0. Mayor Masteller spoke regarding the council workshop. The mayor would like this to be an open forum for the council to discuss projects and goals for the future. The mayor will be using council committees to research projects. The mayor has met with all department heads to get their input for the future. The mayor and council discussed projects across all departments for the city. CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 5, 2026 The Jesup City Council met in a regular council meeting on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in Jesup City Hall Council Chambers, 791 6th Street, Jesup, Iowa. Mayor James Masteller called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Members were present: Denny Bell, Cindy Gosse, Andrew Hamilton and Merritt Jones. Absent: Craig Wright. Mayor Masteller appointed Cindy Gosse as the Mayor Pro-tem. Motion by Bell, seconded by Hamilton, to approve the agenda. Motion carried 4:0. Motion by Hamilton, seconded by Gosse, to approve the consent agenda and adopt the following items on the consent agenda: 1. Approve the minutes of December 15, 2025, regular city council meeting. 2.
