Engineers Selection Board

The board is meeting to select engineering services for four state projects. These projects include water supply improvements, HVAC upgrades, and flood pump replacements.

• LSU Health Sciences Center, Shreveport: Emergency water supply improvements (Construction funds: $7,300,000; Fee: $544,559)
• Stewart Hall, Southern University, Baton Rouge: HVAC unit repairs/upgrades (Construction funds: $1,400,000; Fee: $118,144)
• Central Louisiana Supports and Services Center, Alexandria: HVAC unit replacement (Construction funds: $950,000; Fee: $70,311)
• Bayou Segnette State Park, Westwego: Flood pump replacement (Construction funds: $418,000; Fee: $39,024)

Engineers Selection Board

The Louisiana Engineering Selection Board is accepting applications for engineering services for six different state projects. Applications must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. on June 29, 2021, for a tentative selection meeting on July 14, 2021.

• Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge levee repairs: $10,500,000 construction funds, $389,519 fee
• State Capitol new boiler building: $2,800,000 construction funds, $134,370 fee
• LSU Fred C. Frey Building UPS system replacement: $1,875,000 construction funds, $131,442 fee
• Southern University Lift Station #2 modification/replacement: $1,200,000 construction funds, $52,286 fee
• Governor's Mansion site improvements: $678,673 construction funds, $36,462 fee

The Board approved the minutes from April 14, 2021, and selected engineering firms for six different state projects through a written voting process. The projects include levee repairs, building improvements, and utility replacements across various state facilities.

Engineers Selection Board

The Louisiana Engineers Selection Board will meet via Zoom to consider applications for engineering services on three state projects: permanent sewer connections at nine state parks, a vehicular/pedestrian bridge at LSU-Shreveport, and emergency generators at the Acadiana Center for Youth. The meeting is held under COVID-19 emergency provisions allowing video conference attendance.

• Install permanent sewer connections at 9 state parks (Bayou Segnette, Chicot, Fontainebleau, Jimmie Davis, Lake Bistineau, North Toledo Bend, Palmetto Island, Sam Houston Jones, Tickfaw) — $2,895,500 construction budget
• Design vehicular/pedestrian bridge connecting Pilots Point Apartments to LSU-Shreveport campus — $1,200,000 construction budget
• Install emergency generators for entire Acadiana Center for Youth campus in Bunkie — $900,000 construction budget
• Applications due March 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.; meeting via Zoom on April 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

The Board selected three engineering firms for statewide and campus-specific projects. The Board also appointed Jason Sooter as a voting member and adopted the January 13, 2021 minutes.

• Selected Cothern, Graff, Smoak Engineering, Inc. for a bridge to Pilots Point Apartments at LSU Shreveport

Engineers Selection Board

The Louisiana Engineers Selection Board is meeting via video conference to review applications for engineering services. The board will consider designers for storm drainage repairs and sewer infrastructure rehabilitation.

• Storm Drainage Repairs at Grambling State University: $662,520 construction funds, $30,000 fee
• Sewer System Infrastructure Rehabilitation at Camp Minden Training Site: $989,053 construction funds, $86,646 fee

The Louisiana Engineers Selection Board selected Shuler Consulting Company for storm drainage repairs at Grambling State University. The board also selected Forte & Tablada, Inc. for sewer system rehabilitation at the Camp Minden Training Site following a tie-breaker vote.
