The Commission reported that the Mid-Barataria and Mid-Breton sediment diversions have ceased. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers suspended the Mid-Barataria permit due to withheld information and concerns over maintenance costs and local permits. The state is now pursuing alternative long-distance sediment pipeline and land bridge projects.
