The Board of Commissioners for the Lafourche Basin Levee District met this day
in regular session at its official domicile at 21380 Highway 20 in Vacherie, Louisiana.
The public was invited to attend at the LBLD office. The meeting was called to order by
its President, Marlin Rogers, at 6:00 P.M.
The meeting opened with a prayer and the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
Present: Commissioners… Craig Carter, Assumption Parish; Arthur Bosworth IV,
St. James Parish; Jeffery Henry, Ascension Parish; Mary Clulee, St. Charles Parish;
Todd Crochet, Assumption Parish; Gary Watson, St. John the Baptist Parish; Ryan
Larousse, St. James Parish; Robert Monti, St. Charles Parish and President Marlin
Rogers, St. Charles Parish were present. Eric Matherne, St. Charles Parish, was absent.
A quorum was present to conduct business.

The Board of Commissioners for the Lafourche Basin Levee District met this day
in regular session at its official domicile at 21380 Highway 20 in Vacherie, Louisiana.
The public was invited to attend at the LBLD office. The meeting was called to order by
its President, Marlin Rogers, at 6:00 P.M.
The meeting opened with a prayer and the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
Present: Commissioners… Craig Carter, Assumption Parish; Arthur Bosworth IV,
St. James Parish; Jeffery Henry, Ascension Parish; Mary Clulee, St. Charles Parish;
Todd Crochet, Assumption Parish; Gary Watson, St. John the Baptist Parish; Eric
Matherne, St. Charles Parish; and President Marlin Rogers, St. Charles Parish were
present. Ryan Larousse, St. James Parish and Robert Monti, St. Charles Parish were
absent.
A quorum was present to conduct business.
Messrs. Donald Ray Henry, Executive Director; Spencer Long, Attorney; Ms.

The Board of Commissioners for the Lafourche Basin Levee District met this day
in regular session at its official domicile at 21380 Highway 20 in Vacherie, Louisiana.
The public was invited to attend at the LBLD office. The meeting was called to order by
its President, Marlin Rogers, at 6:00 P.M.
The meeting opened with a prayer and the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
Present: Commissioners… Craig Carter, Assumption Parish; Arthur Bosworth IV,
St. James Parish; Ryan Larousse, St. James Parish; Jeffery Henry, Ascension Parish;
Mary Clulee, St. Charles Parish; Todd Crochet, Assumption Parish; Robert Monti, St.
Charles Parish; Gary Watson, St. John the Baptist Parish; Eric Matherne, St. Charles

A quorum was present to conduct business.

PUBLIC HEARING/ MEETING

The Board of Commissioners for the Lafourche Basin Conservation Levee &
Drainage District met this day in a Public Hearing at its official domicile at 21380
Highway 20 in Vacherie, Louisiana. The public was invited to attend at the LBLD office.
The hearing was called to order by its Vice-President, Jeffery Henry, at 6:00 P.M.
A public hearing will be held to consider levying increased millage rates after
reassessment and rolling forward millage rates not to exceed the maximum
authorized by law.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana
Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of Lafourche Basin Conservation
Levee and Drainage District in St. James Parish will be held at its regular meeting place
located at 21380 Highway 20, Vacherie, LA on May 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. to consider
levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting
the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed
the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the
next year from the increased millage is $6,441,891.07, and the amount of in-crease in
taxes attributable to the millage increase is $215,836.56.
Commissioner Eric Matherne made a motion to adjourn and Commissioner
Robert Monti seconded his motion.

Board to vote on $377K change order for Sunset Levee Lift project

REGULAR MEETING
April 2, 2025
The Board of Commissioners for the Lafourche Basin Levee District met this day
in regular session at its official domicile at 21380 Highway 20 in Vacherie, Louisiana.
The public was invited to attend at the LBLD office. The meeting was called to order by
its President, Marlin Rogers, at 6:00 P.M.
The meeting opened with a prayer and the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
Present: Commissioners… Craig Carter, Assumption Parish; Arthur Bosworth IV,
St. James Parish; Mary Clulee, St. Charles Parish; Ryan Larousse, St. James Parish;
Jeffery Henry, Ascension Parish; Ivy Chauvin, St. John the Baptist Parish; Todd
Crochet, Assumption Parish Gary Watson, St. John the Baptist Parish; Eric Matherne,
St. Charles Parish; and President Marlin Rogers, St. Charles Parish were present.
Robert Monti, St. Charles Parish was absent.
A quorum was present to conduct business.
Messrs. Donald Ray Henry, Executive Director; Spencer Long, Attorney; Ms.
Melanie Broden, Accounting Specialist, Ms. Astrea Jupiter, Administrative Assistant,
Mrs. Sara Long, Human Resource Specialist; and Mrs. Yolanda Brown, Administrative
Assistant were present.
President Rogers asked for a motion to adopt the agenda. Vice-President Jeffery
Henry made the motion to adopt the agenda. Commissioner Craig Carter seconded his
motion. President Rogers called for a vote. All Commissioners voted all in favor. None
opposed. The motion passed.
