Rodney Jefferson attended to gather information regarding amateur events and rally competitions. 4) LICENSE RENEWAL/APPLICATIONS: None to discuss 5) PAST SHOWS: T.S. informed Commission of indefinite suspension of Eric Thompson for breach of contract at the WFC193 event in Baton Rouge. Motion made by D.P. to set fine at $500 with suspension lifting upon payment. T.S. contacted Myron Gaudet (NOPD) and Chief Long (Xavier PD) two days before the show. Sylvester was warned repeatedly from 3pm to 10pm but insisted it was a “rapping contest”. The group explained they were in the early stages of planning potential community -based boxing events involving amateur partic ipants and fundraising efforts. The Commission discussed the distinction between amateur boxing, professional boxing and rally boxing, safety requirements and event regulations and the importance of reviewing the Commission rules and procedures prior to applying for licensure. D.P. motions to approve the A license for All-Star Wrestling, W.G. seconds, all vote in favor. 4) LICENSE RENEWALS/APPLICATIONS: The Commission discussed an application from a promoter named Jonathan Harris, who wants to bring Muy Tai shows to Louisiana. R.R. questioned if Muy Tai falls under the commission’s regulatory purview.
