Workforce Investment Council

The Workforce Investment Council will review and vote on the state workforce plan and two IBC bundles (Business and Para-Educator). Members will also hear from the chairman, secretary, and policy advisors on economic development, workforce, and education policies.

The Louisiana Workforce Commission's Industry-Based Credentials (IBC) Committee will review and vote on 12 credential bundles submitted by schools and regional partnerships. Items include healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, and environmental protection bundles from Regions 6 and 8, New Orleans Public Schools, St. Charles Parish Public Schools, and the LSU STEM Center with BASF. The meeting also includes approval of previous minutes and public comment.

The council will also consider approving eight industry-based certifications, including ProStart, CDL, and manufacturing credentials. Workforce Investment Council
