Animal Welfare Board

The Animal Shelter Advisory Board approved the December 14, 2021 minutes and reviewed the monthly activity report. The board discussed tethering rules from other cities and the state Outdoor Dog Safety Act, and agreed to raise dog tethering at the next council meeting for more input; a chicken ordinance was moved to the next meeting. The board decided not to combo-test every cat, only questionable ones, and to use the savings to include microchips with adoptions. The Friends of the Shelter effort was placed on hold due to an increase in animals, and members asked for more fundraisers.

Board of Adjustments
