The Lake Dallas Community Development Corporation Board will meet to review financial reports and past meeting minutes. The board will also consider amendments to a property sale agreement and approve building elevations for a property remodel. Additionally, the board will discuss potential future projects for on-street public parking in the downtown area.

Council to vote on Swisher Landing phasing change, allowing 240 apartments before retail build-out

The Lake Dallas City Council will hold a public hearing and consider an ordinance amending the phasing regulations of the Swisher Landing Planned Development (Ordinance No. 2022-09). The change would allow certificates of occupancy for up to 240 multi-family units on Tract 2 before completion of the required 7,000 sq ft of retail/restaurant shell buildings on Tract 1, provided 4,000 sq ft of retail is built anywhere on Tract 1. The council will also consider a preliminary plat for the 22.228-acre site, appoint Appeals Board members and special counsel, and hear a report from the city's financial advisor on bond issuance for a road project.

P&Z to consider rezoning 13.3 acres near Swisher Rd for industrial use

The Lake Dallas Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearings on two zoning changes: one to rezone 13.305 acres south of Swisher Road from C-2 Commercial to Planned Development for M-1 Light Industrial uses, and another to amend a Planned Development at 214 Gotcher Avenue. The commission will also approve minutes from the December 21, 2023 meeting and take public comments on non-agenda items.
