The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session pursuant to recess of the August 10,
2026 meeting and special meeting on August 13, 2026 with Rick Carlson Chairman, Kim

IN THE MATTER OF DEPARTMENT HEADS
Treva Wing — Ambulance/EMS
Informs the Board that the Forest Service will implement Stage 1 fire restrictions on Friday.
Therefore, the County Resolution previously passed will go into effect.
Mike Ernest — Lemhi County Coroner
Presents the Board with the numbers requested at a prior meeting for the last 12 years. He
indicates that he spends approximately eight hours on each case and performs five to six
autopsies per year, with each autopsy taking approximately 40 hours.
Commissioner Carlson asks for clarification regarding Ada County having the last four years of
his files. Mike explains that he does not have time to complete the paperwork, so he is
outsourcing it.
Carlson also asks for clarification regarding comments made on Facebook that the Coroner pays
for expenses out of his own pocket. Ernest clarifies that he does not.
Further discussion takes place regarding the Coroner’s wage. The Commissioners agree that his
current wage appears to be in line with other counties of similar size and caseload. Ernest is
reminded that he knew the compensation for the position when he ran …

IN THE MATTER OF DEPARTMENT HEADS
Curt Rosin, Lemhi County Road & Bridge Supervisor updates the board on the potential
purchase of a new grader. He reports that he explored the option of a certified rebuild of the
existing grader, which would cost approximately $5,000 less than purchasing a new one.
However, he notes that the current grader has approximately 9,000 hours of use, which is
typically when the equipment should be rebuilt or replaced. Commissioner Carlson addresses a
complaint he received regarding a landowner watering a county road on the back road toward
Tendoy. He also reports receiving comments about fences being placed within county road
rights-of-way. Prosecuting Attorney Chace Slavin will prepare a public service announcement
for the county website and Facebook page reminding the public that watering county roadways is
illegal.
Jenny Rosin, Lemhi County Assessor, updates the board on her attendance at the NACO
Conference in New Orleans. She shares that she is excited about the election of the new NACO

June 8th, 2026 meeting with Rick Carlson Chairman, Kim Caywood and Lynn
Bowerman present.

Chairman Rick Carlson motions to release a PSA to the public in regards to the 4" of
July activities and to table resolution No# 2026-15 with Kim seconding all are in favor
motion is carried.
There bein urther business, Rick Carlson moved to adjourn the meeting.

The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session pursuant to recess of the June 8,
2026 meeting with Rick Carlson Chairman, Kim Caywood and Lynn Bowerman present.
Lynn Bowerman motions to approved the minutes of June 8, 2026 with Kim seconding all are in
favor motion is carried
N THE MATTER OF DEPARTMENT HEADS
Sharayh- Lemhi County Weed Department
Updates the board on spray days that have been done and that she still has to do Northfork and
Carmen. She also asks to send a letter to the city in regards to the noxious weeds they have on
the city streets. She informs the board she went on voice of the valley with commissioner
Carlson as well as updates them on contracts she is working on and ones that have been
completed
Tammy Stringham- Lemhi Economic Development
Tammy updates the board on a new tenant that will be occupying a space at the industrial park.
She is asked about numerous camp trailers that have been noticed at the industrial park and she
assures the commissioners they are not being lived in.
Scott Duncan- Lemhi County Landfill
Scott Duncan updates the board on a company that has reached out to him in regards to security
cameras at the transfer sites. He will give the board more information as he receives it.
IN THE MATTER OF TAX CANCELLATION
Lemhi County Treasurer Kammy McFarland presents the board with a tax cancellation in
regards to Chuck and Tammy Overacker for an over charge …
