Historical Commission

The Longmeadow Historical Commission will meet to elect officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Clerk) and discuss public properties including Town Hall and the Old Train Station/DPW. The commission will also consider an application to the Community Preservation Committee for Community Preservation Act funding for a survey of historical properties built before 1911, and review a Certified Local Government application and work plan. Public Shade Tree Hearings

The Longmeadow Tree Warden will hold a public hearing on December 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM at 170 Dwight St. (DPW Conference Room) to consider the removal of three public shade trees. The trees are located at 66 Crescent Rd. (26" Norway maple), 77 Woodside Dr. (23" Eastern white pine), and 81 Woolworth St. (34" Eastern white pine). Interested parties may submit comments to Tree Warden Leah Grigorov before the hearing.

The Tree Warden held a public hearing on three tree removal requests. Two trees were approved for removal at the property owners' expense: a Norway maple at 66 Crescent Rd. and an eastern white pine at 77 Woodside Dr. A third request for an eastern white pine at 81 Woolworth St. was denied after a public objection was submitted.

Community Preservation Committee

The Community Preservation Committee will meet to review funding applications for three projects: First Church Exterior Renovation, Bliss Park ADA Renovations, and Glenbrook Athletic Fields Renovation. Tree Committee

Select Board

The Select Board will consider an intergovernmental agreement with FiberSpring for municipal fiber and discuss extending the external auditor contract through FY25-26. The Select Board unanimously authorized the Town Manager to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with South Hadley Electric Light Department (SHELD) for professional fiber network design and project management. Conservation Commission

Audit Committee

Hampden County Regional Retirement Board
