scrutiny and to act on the monitor' s recommendations. This report demonstrates a strong foundation for the work ahead. It will be discussed in detail at the upcoming community safety commission meeting, which I believe is AUGUST 20th, and you can find the full report online now at elefa.Org/Louisville. And I also want to thank while we' re talking about law enforcement. Lmpd, who recently has made some very significant arrests. I know many people across the community are concerned about car thefts that are happening across town, and I want to thank lmpd for their focus on this issue and for some significant arrest that were also made. You can see the Belvedere in all, it' s 50 plus years of glory, right behind us. And for more than 50 years, the Belvedere has been one of our city' s most iconic gathering spaces. But for too long this landmark has been left without proper attention, without investment and without needed repairs. We have to repair and rebuild this nearly one million square feet of aging concrete and ensure it can safely serve Louisville for generations to come. And today, I' m excited to offer a first look at the next chapter of the Belvedere. We' re reimagining the space on the Belvedere as a welcoming, green, vibrant destination in the heart of downtown Louisville. I' ve done a lot of traveling, a lot of research, and I have seen revitalized civic spaces like this absolutely transform other cities. And I have no doubt that we can make the Belvedere a place w …

Music playing I mean this is a time I mean this is a time when you build something that you'd put a turn lane I've been voted down a lot of times on turn lanes because people say oh no we don't need them but I've just wondered if they thought about it. Thank you. You're both in the queue for call to order. Do you mean to be in the queue for this item? You're in the queue for this item? the developer. He may well be discussing something along those lines. Sure. Did you have any response to any of that? You don't have to. You don't have to have a response. Yeah, okay. Okay, it's been moved and seconded any conversation about that before we have a voice vote on the motion to postpone or motion to tape. Is it postpone? Is that the way we discuss these things now? Motion to postpone. Anybody have any discussion before we have a voice vote on that measure? Okay, all those in favor, please say aye. Aye. All those against, the ayes have it. I' ve always thought this was such a neat little area right here, and I believe that what they' re doing here could just be a spark plug for this whole community here. To support businesses that support this running lifestyle, I think is critically important for our community, and there' s no better example of that in Louisville, than swags, and what it is meant for generations, and now what Lainey and Allie are doing with bringing it into the next generation.

I feel they need to be as strict as possible The one the draft recommendations that the Kentucky Research Council has recently approved are as obligated those would be the ideal to help You know mitigate most of the effects and to try to keep and limit the ability and it's to proliferate, especially the ones of the size like the one on Campgr …

meone' s in crisis. That has included having someone to talk to through 988 or the call crisis line. We now answer over 6000 calls a month from people who are experiencing a mental health crisis. We also have a mobile crisis team that' s deployed from the 988 number if someone is in need of having a licensed clinician come to them and perform a response. We now have around 30 calls a month that come in for that. And then we also have a new crisis center that will be opening the end of this month, beginning of next month. We' re in construction right now. We' ve just hired staff and begun training. And that is only due to the support from Louisville Metro Council as well as the Mayor' s Office in helping us provide some funding in order to create, the crisis center that will be available here at 914 East Broadway. We will have an adult crisis center as well as a center that will focus on youth. And we are hopeful because the national data says that the answer to people in mental health crisis is having a full continuum with all options available in a community. And that' s what we' ve been focused on bolstering and building. So I look forward to our discussion today. Everybody and particularly Black people feel like they can trust the police, that the police are on their side and they' re there to take care of them. You know, and I' ve said this before. I think one of the things that we can all, as police officers, attempt to appreciate more, is how it feels, even when an offi …
