Magna City Council to vote on amending FY 2026 budget
The Magna City Council will hold a public hearing to discuss and possibly adopt an amendment to the city's Fiscal Year 2026 Current Budget. The proposed amendment adjusts revenues and expenditures across multiple funds, including the general fund, cemetery fund, and community reinvestment agency fund. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to Utah Code Section 10-3-818, notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be
held at the Webster Center, 8952 W Magna Main St., Magna, Utah 84044 during the City
Council Meeting on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 6:00 pm MST.
The purpose of the hearing is to discuss an amendment to the City of Magna’s Fiscal Year 2026
Current Budget.
At the date and time fixed for the public hearing all who appear will be given an opportunity to
express their views on the proposed amendment to the FY 2026 Current Budget. Those who wish
to attend and speak at the hearing may do so. A copy of the proposed amendment will be
available for inspection at least 7 days before the public hearing at the front counter of the
Greater Salt Lake Municipal Services District office located at 860 W. Levoy Dr., Suite 300,
Taylorsville, UT 84123. A copy will also be posted with this notice on the Utah Public Notice
Website listed at the bottom of this notice.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Magna City will make reasonable
accommodations to participate in the hearing. Requests for assistance can be made by calling the

presentation, discussion, and possible action at 6:00 PM on the 12th day of May 2026 at the Webster
Center, 8952 West Magna Main Street Magna, Utah as follows:

A quorum was present, allowing the meeting to proceed.
3. Pledge of Allegiance
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
4. PUBLIC COMMENTS
One resident, Maxine Halligan, offered comments. She spoke regarding Fourth of July event activities,
concerns about blocked easements and alley access, and questions about the potential future use of the
high school property. Mayor Sudbury requested that Kelly Bush follow up on the easement issue with
code enforcement and engineering staff. No further public comments were made, and the Mayor closed
the public comment period.
