CITY OF CEDARVILLE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES January 3, 2023 The special City Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Deborah Pinkerton. Council members present were Alderman Breshears, Alderman Johnson, Alderman Odom and Alderman McClendon. Mayor Pinkerton presented Resolution # 2023-01-03-01, purchase of New Holland Model B95D, Serial # FNHOB95DNZHH08880, backhoe to be paid in full. Treasurer Sandra Cook reported a balance of $260,285.07 in General account and a balance of $126,108.97 in Street account. The suggestion was made that the City could pay $50,000 from Street and $49,800 from General placing no hardship on either account. A motion was made by Alderman McClendon to approve Resolution # 2023-01- 03-01 and pay $50,000 from the Street account and $49,800 from the General account for a total of $99,800 paid in full to W T Equipment and to amend the street budget to reflect the additional amount. The motion was seconded by Alderman Breshears. Passed 4-0 Mayor Pinkerton informed the Council of the availability of a five year extended warranty with a $750.00 deductible for the amount of $5359.00. After discussion, a motion to purchase the extended warranty was made by Alderman Odom and seconded by Alderman Johnson. Passed 4-0 With no further business to discuss, a motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Odom and seconded by Alderman McClendon. Passed 4-0 Mayor Recorder/Treasurer
