Amie Poladian, Main Street Manager said that the Springhill Farmers Market Season opened on Saturday,
April 5, 2025 and despite the rain several hundred people turned out for the event. The farmers market will be open
the first Saturday each month from now through October from 9 AM – 1 PM. They are in desperate need of produce
vendors.
The quarterly match grants wrapped up another cycle. The Lucky Pup was awarded the third quarter grant
for their new signage at the old Springhill Library Building. They were able to match the original signage from the

New trash cans were obtained by a grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful written by Alderman Stacey
Willard. They have been installed at various locations throughout the City.

✓ Decided: Council approves $10,980 building at Recreation Complex

MINUTES
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Springhill, Louisiana met in regular session in the Council Chambers
at Springhill City Hall on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 5:00 P.M with Mayor W. Ray Huddleston presiding.
PRESENT: Dennis Smith, Stacey Willard, Mike Whitlock, and Derek Melancon, Aldermen.
ABSENT: Alderman Dimettera Frazier.
Alderman Mike Whitlock opened the meeting with Prayer.
Mayor W. Ray Huddleston led the Pledge of Allegiance.
MOTION was made by Stacey Willard, seconded by Dennis Smith to adopt the minutes from the last
regular meeting held on Monday, February 12, 2024.
MOTION CARRIED.
MOTION was made by Derek Melancon, seconded by Mike Whitlock to approve the financial statement
for February 2024.
MOTION CARRIED.

OLD BUSINESS: None.
Amie Poladian, Main Street Manager thanked the Council for approving the resolution last month declaring
March 19th as Springhill Main Street Day. Going forward in the future there will be activities to go along with
Springhill Main Street Day.
Amie congratulated Briana Savoy for the 5th Anniversary Celebration of Studio B which was celebrated last
Friday, March 8, 2024.
Springhill’s dedication of the Springhill Coca-Cola Mural will be this Friday, March 15, 2024 at 2:30 PM.
Coca-Cola will be providing drinks at the dedication ceremony and special recognition will go to Coca-Cola for
