Portageville City Council to review 2027 fiscal year departmental budgets
The City Council is holding a special meeting to review and compile budget information. This process pertains to the 2027 fiscal year, which runs from May 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027.

OLD BUSINESS DEPARTMENTAL BUDGET REVIEW
Proposed budget for May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027 fiscal year was
discussed for all departments.
ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT:
INCOME- The line item for Pem-Dunklin Franchise tax was removed.
Any income from them is reported under Electric Franchise Taxes.
EXPENSE- A new expense category was created for Emergency
Management and the budget was set at $1000.00. The line item for
GPS-Fleet was removed under administration as that is reported with
the ATT charges for the Police Department since they are the only
ones utilizing the service.
