Administration & Operations Committee

The Administration & Operations Committee will review three agreements and a county hazard mitigation plan. The Health Director will present an agreement with the University of Michigan School of Public Health for MIWAIV software access. The Emergency Management Coordinator will request approval of the 2025 Midland County Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Health Director will also submit a FY2026 Materials Management Planning Program grant agreement with the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.

The Midland County Board of Commissioners will review several recommendations from the Administration & Operations Committee to approve agreements with providers for opioid addiction treatment. The Finance Committee will also recommend increasing the Sheriff‑Records imprest cash balance and pledging credit to the Midland, Homer & Mt. Haley Drain Bonds, Series 2026. Applications for a County‑at‑Large seat on the Midland County Land Bank Authority will be considered.

Executive Committee of the Whole

The Executive Committee of the Whole will meet on Jan 13, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the First Floor Board Room of the County Services Building. Commissioners will receive updates from the Health Director on flu season, from the Administrator/Controller staff, and from Civil Counsel. The meeting includes two periods for public comment and will conclude with commissioners’ remarks before adjournment.

Parks and Recreation Commission

The Midland County Parks & Recreation Commission will consider a discussion on allowing or restricting alcohol on county parks and recreation properties. It will also receive an update on the TF25-0149 grant for Sanford Lake Park renovations. Additionally, the Nominating Committee will report on officer nominations.

Board of Commissioners

The Board of Commissioners will meet for an organizational session to elect leadership and appoint officials. The meeting includes the election of a Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, as well as the appointment of a Chaplain and Parliamentarian.
