Land Use Committee

The New Castle County Land Use Committee scheduled a virtual meeting on January 20, 2026, but the agenda was marked CANCELED. Personnel Subcommittee

Public Safety Committee

The Public Safety Committee will discuss two resolutions scheduled for a later vote: one to amend the Police Accountability Board’s composition and duties, and another to appropriate $74,959.44 in state aid for local law enforcement. Finance Committee

Public Works Committee

The New Castle County Public Works Committee meeting scheduled for January 6, 2026 was cancelled. The agenda, posted on December 30, 2025, listed only procedural items such as call to order, approval of minutes, public comment, and adjournment. No decisions or discussions took place because the meeting did not occur.

Land Use Committee

The Land Use Committee will review two resolutions proposing large land‑development projects. One resolution (R26-) concerns a mixed‑use plan at 2701 Capitol Trail with 179 apartments, a clubhouse and commercial space, under CR zoning (Application No. 2022-0270‑S, Council District 9). The other resolution (R26-) proposes a LogisticCenter warehouse complex at the southwest corner of Route 301 and Jamison Corner Road, totaling over 2.3 million square feet of warehouse space, under BP zoning (Application No. 2021-0470‑S, Council District 6).
