Health Equity Committee

The committee is meeting to discuss updates regarding the Demographic Perspectives survey. Members will work to define the committee's scope and identify required data. A semi-annual report summary is due by March 26.

The committee determined that six areas of focus and interest will be used to divide work into subcommittees. Members will sign up for these areas based on the 13 areas of the resolution. Ice Arena Authority

The Norwich Ice Arena Authority is holding a special virtual meeting to discuss and potentially act on appropriating funds to move the condenser for the chiller from the roof. The move is intended to facilitate future repair and extend roof life. The meeting also includes accepting minutes from the March 1, 2023 meeting.

The Authority discussed three cost options for moving or repairing the chiller condenser tower to extend roof life. No action was taken on the funding appropriation as members felt more information was needed. The matter may be revisited at the next meeting.

Housing Authority

The Norwich Housing Authority board will vote on several resolutions, including a pay increase for nonunion employees, reaffirmation of anti-discrimination policies, a cable TV rate for the coming year, and an employment agreement with the Executive Director. The board will also hear reports on finances, vacancies, modernization, and housing vouchers, and discuss funding for veteran housing.
