Consultant Planner Richard’s retirement, after 35 years, at the end of August and expressed his
appreciation for his years of service. Rife noted that RFPs for a replacement Planning
Consultant were out and that he anticipates having a recommendation for the Planning
Consultant before the City Council at their June 23, 2026 meeting. Rife updated the
Commission as to the status of the approved cannabis businesses, noting that they are all
working their processes and that it is likely the first to open its doors will be St. Croix Cannabis.
