Planning Commission
The Olympia Planning Commission held a public hearing on the Shoreline Master Program Periodic Review and continued it to the next meeting for deliberation. The commission also approved the agenda as amended, approved the December 7, 2020 minutes, and completed officer elections, with Candi Millar as Chair and Aaron Sauerhoff as Vice Chair for 2021.

City Council
At a special retreat, the Olympia City Council discussed communication, the Council Guidebook, and leadership roles. Councilmember Clark Gilman was chosen as Mayor Pro Tem, pending formal approval at a future meeting. The council also agreed on 2021 committee assignments, which will be formally approved later.

City Council

The Social Justice & Equity Commission Founding Member Work Group approved a list of three consultant teams to interview for the Public Engagement Consultant role: Baker Consulting, Miller/Self, and StrataG. Interviews are scheduled for January 21, 2020. The group also approved the agenda and the minutes from the December 18, 2020 meeting.
