Public comment: Commissioner Richtmyer attended Building Energy Economies and Rural Montana Event (BEERME) in Miles City encompassing discussions on data centers, solar, wind, and more. Commissioner Richtmyer plans to facilitate future discussions on these topics on social media and more. Commissioner Swenson reminded the public that the Courthouse will be closed Friday, July 3, for the July 4, 2026, holiday. PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS BROADWATER COUNTY, STATE OF MONTANA LOCATION: 416 Broadway, Townsend, MT 59644 DATE: June 24, 2026 Commissioner Debi Randolph called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM. Commissioners Lindsey Richtmyer and Jesse Swenson were also present. Public comment: Commissioner Richtmyer commented that she will be attending an energy conference in Miles City put on by MACo. Commissioner Swenson commented that Gallatin County is doing some additional paving on Old Town Road outside of the limits of the bridge projects. The paving contractor is planning to pave the road on the 29", and they are going to close Old Town Road for 24 hours to do the work. There is some rain in the forecast this week and into the weekend, which may cause the plan to need to be shifted. Ed Shindoll commented on the Tri-County Safe Working Group and inquired regarding the Title 3 money. Commissioner Randolph responded that the Commission discussed the need for funding, and it will be taken from next fiscal year's PILT funding. Commissioner Randolph commented that the Courthouse will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026, due to the July 4!" Independence Day Holiday. Airport Board
