Annual Town Warrant - April 14th, 2026

✓ Decided: Voters approved 4 articles, including invasive tree removal, at special town meeting

The West Tisbury Special Town Meeting on September 16, 2025, with 166 voters present, passed all four articles on the warrant. Article 3 was amended to reduce the number of invasive grey willow trees removed from the town-owned Mill Pond from 20 to 15, with the cost reduced to $40,425.00. All other articles passed as recommended by the Select Board.

1 The moderator called the meeting to order at 6:18pm there being a quorum present. There were 166 voters present. All articles were duly moved, seconded and voted upon. There was one floor amendment. The meeting was adjourned at 6:45pm. WEST TISBURY COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING County of Dukes County, SS To Either of the Constables of the Town of West Tisbury, GREETINGS: In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of West Tisbury qualified to vote in elections and in Town affairs to meet in the West Tisbury Elementary School, Old County Road, in said Town on Tuesday the Sixteenth day of September, two thousand and twenty-five, at six o’clock in the evening; then and there to act on the articles of this Warrant. ARTICLE 1: To see if the Town will vote to Transfer the sum of Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty-Four Dollars and Twenty-Four Cents ($8,984.24) from the Health Insurance appropriation to the Unemployment Compensation Stabilization Fund, pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 5B, or take any other action relative thereto. ✓ Decided: Town votes to accept Seasonal Community Designation

The West Tisbury Special Town Meeting was called to order with a quorum of 283 voters present. The only substantive action was the passage of Article 1, which accepted the Seasonal Community Designation as provided by Massachusetts law. The meeting adjourned after 15 minutes.

WEST TISBURY COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING County of Dukes County, SS To Either of the Constables of the Town of West Tisbury, GREETINGS: In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of West Tisbury qualified to vote in elections and in Town affairs to meet in the West Tisbury Elementary School, Old County Road, in said Town on Tuesday the eighth day of April, two thousand and twenty-five, at Five Fifty-Five o’clock in the evening; then and there to act on the articles of this Warrant.
