business-type activities, the discretely presented component unit, each major fund, and the
aggregate remaining fund information of the City of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, as of and for the year
ended December 31, 2025, in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United
States of America and the standards applicable to financial audits contained in Government Auditing
Standards, issued by the Comptroller General of the United States, we considered the City's internal

BACKGROUND: During a criminal investigation on May 24, 2025, the police department
came into possession of a Red Toyota Camary (Vin# 4T1BG28KXWU386722). Since that time,
police department staff have followed procedures in accordance with City Ordinance and State
Statutes to return the vehicle to the owner.
A letter was sent to the owner on July 30, 2025 and notice was published in the Sauk Rapids
Herald, November 22, 2025 through December 6, 2025.
Police Department staff are seeking approval to dispose of the vehicle by selling it at scrap to
whichever local scrap yard pays the most.
