Planning Board

The Technical Review Committee is meeting to review and comment on two specific project applications. This staff-level committee provides recommendations to the Planning Board and other town bodies.

The Seekonk Select Board unanimously approved conditional job offers for a Building Inspector, a dispatcher, and an Assistant Animal Control Officer, accepted donations and a safety grant, renewed annual licenses, extended Cannaverse's Host Community Agreement, and approved the TV9 contract and PEG designation. All votes were 4-0.

Parks and Recreation Committee

The meeting then moves into executive session to handle statutory exemption applications, motor vehicle and boat excise abatement reports, and Chapterland applications.

Select Board

The Seekonk Select Board will consider appointing an ADA coordinator, hiring a police officer, and accepting donations and a grant. They will hold hearings on coin-operated machine licenses and annual renewals for dozens of businesses, discuss renewing the community electricity aggregation program, debate forming a charter study committee or commission, and take action on the TV9 cable contract and PEG designation after executive session.

The Bristol County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coalition, which includes Seekonk and other communities, is meeting to discuss regional public health preparedness.
