This is a time set aside for the public to address the Public Health Advisory Board on items noted for discussion or considerations, or on issues under the purview of this board. Are there any members of the public? The public in attendance is free to speak. Line muted. Line unmuted. Line muted. That's just me. No, no one online. So we do not have a presentation this month, so we'll skip that. Under general announcements, we will now hear general announcements related to the administration of the Public Health Advisory Board from the Public Health Staff Liaison, as well as any organizational updates from board members. Please keep all updates to two to three minutes. I'm going to stop for just a moment as we have another board member. Thank you. and then we'll get you the minutes and so forth but there's no ability for board members to attend virtually just making sure everybody had time to read them is there any discussion arou …

We will now connect you to your call. You are the first attendee in this conference. Your host has joined. So that's all about making money. Right. That first part. You're good, Jim. Go for it. Go ahead. Do you want me to start over? No. You don't need to. Okay. All right. First of all, is there any public comment available? Tom, do you have anything you want to bring up? I do not. And we move on to our agenda. First item on the agenda is the approval of the minutes for the meeting held on August 5. Is there a motion to approve those minutes? And Julie, the most important person here. These things work. You just have to bring it down. When you speak, you do want to speak into it. You'll hear it in here. Apologize for being so late getting started, but this is the first time we've done this and had to learn a whole new technology. Thank goodness Julie's here. I'll forget it by next month. Okay. It is 8-10. The time is 8-11. We'll call the meeting to order. First order. The first order on our agenda is to, is there a motion to approve our meeting? Actually, I'm sorry, Chairman, if we could do public comment to start the meeting, please. Certainly. And we do have members of the public here, so can we, does anybody have any public comments at this point? I'd like to make a correction to the minutes. Oh. Okay, just one minute, Lauren. We've got to do it. Lauren. We have to wait until we get the public comments done. Okay. Any questions? Any public comments? I see no public comments. And at this point, is there a motion to approve the minutes from our meeting held on June 9? Lauren, you said you had a correction? Yeah. On there, we talked about. You've got to speak into this one. You've got to talk into this. Oh, talk into this? All right. We talked in there about the first Monday of each month that we're going to have our meeting …

Good morning. I'll call this meeting, August 5th meeting of the Tama County Flood Control Water Conservation District to order at 10.01. We'll start with the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Okay, I'll remind everybody to shut your cell phones off or put them on mute, please. Before we start with public comment, I wanted to give a couple housekeeping items. I do want to apologize to the public. I had two people at the Board of Supervisors meeting yesterday ask why there was an agenda item on to return the well registration fees that was brought up by the Board and was asked. I was confused about that meeting last week and whether we had direction of staff to bring that back. So we will bring that item back. Before we do that, there's some closed session legal discussions that need to be had. So it 'll probably be two meetings before we bring that item back to the Board for discussion. And then also, we're going to open public comment. If you're here to talk about the fees, that's going to be all the way down on item six. There's a lot of information that's going to come out in the first three items. I helped Justin, Deputy Director, set this agenda because I feel like we need to, as a Board and as the public, know a lot about what's going to happen if we go down the road of not passing the fee and let the state com …
