Supervisors present were Greg Waks, Greg Philips, Bill Jenaway, Carole
Kenney and Tina Garzillo. Also, present were Anthony Hamaday, Township
Manager; Amanda Fean, Assistant Township Manager, Jarrett Lash, Township
Planner; Al Vennettilli, Township Engineer and John Walko, Township Solicitor.
CHAIRPERSON’'S COMMENTS:
Chairperson Garzillo announced the Board of Supervisor held an
Executive Session before tonight’s meeting.
DISCUSSIONS:
A. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REVIEW:
Mr. Lash mentioned the Township has been working on this
Comprehensive Plan since January of 2024 and hopefully will adopt this Fall.
He said the component of this Plan introduces the community’s
demographics, showing how the Township has grown and expanded since
the last Comprehensive Plan was adopted. Then he showed the Township’s
Economics Stability and Safety Sections saying he is still finalizing the Safety
Section. Also, he noted they still have to weave in some of the urban pre-
data into the economic stability section that they have from the Township
wide economics impact analysis.
He feels this study shows how our land use is driving the revenue that we
have as well as what is working well, what …

We’d like to ask the public to send in pictures of their CC and Pool activities from the last 10 years. Karen
suggested having guest speakers, a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new mural, Bingo with gift baskets, and
showcasing the Senior Terrace/Garden Club. Also, we still need replacements for the Board.
Parks & Recreation Report: Trey
a) 2412 members, 350 weekday visits, 188 weekend visits, all down from May.
b) Fall program planning is in progress and the guide will be out on August 6".
c) Brian Sell unexpectedly passed away and his service is tomorrow in Philadelphia.

THE MEETING was called to order by Jennifer Schauble, Chairperson, Public Safety Citizen
Advisory Board.
I. ADMINISTRATION:

IN ATTENDANCE: Bill Jenaway (Township Supervisor, Upper Merion Township),
Christopher Dolga (Lieutenant, Upper Merion Township Police Department), Pattijo Taylor,
Jennifer Schauble, Shorty Schultz, Jeffrey Matthew, Ed Mehalick, Charles Rossi, Talia Matthew,
and Elizabeth Jenaway.
II. AGENDA:
A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM LAST MEETING/OLD BUSINESS
A motion to approve the meeting minutes was made by Jeffrey. The motion was seconded by
Pattijo, and the motion carried.
B. LIAISON REPORTS
Lieutenant Dolga began with the Emergency Management liaison report. He reported on a wide
range of preparedness, training, and event coordination activities. He mentioned the usability of
the Township building after certain hours. On March 30th, the Township hosted a countywide
active-shooter exercise involving fire, police, EMS, county agencies, and other partners to
simulate a large-scale active-shooter incident. Staff also participated in a mass casualty incident
exercise with CHOP, serving as evaluators and focusing on coordinated response, mutual aid,
and support. Lieutenant Dolga mentioned that there are other active-shooter drills in the works in
neighboring municipalities where they will serve as …
