On the third day of September 2026, at 8:00 p.m., the Newton Town Council will hold a meeting at Newton Town Hall, 51 South Center Newton, Utah, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the issue of Newton Code changes to Title 5, animal control.
Title 5, animal control code has been updated to be in compliance with State of Utah regulations. Violations to the code have been changed from Class C misdemeanor to Class B misdemeanor.
The proposed code changes may be reviewed at Newton Town Hall during business hours or at https://www.newtonutah.gov.
