Commission on Culture & the Arts

The Vallejo Commission on Culture & Arts will review and discuss a revised draft of the Long-Term Citywide Arts and Culture Strategy, making recommendations. It will also review a proposed draft Long-Term Funding for the Arts Policy and consider whether to form an Ad-Hoc Committee. The Commission will set a date for a 2025 goalsetting and workplan meeting.

Measure P Oversight Committee

The Measure P Oversight Committee will consider recommendations to the City Council on allocating Measure P funds for various projects, including a $10 million roadway paving project, $3 million for Mare Island Causeway Bridge repairs, and police staffing. The committee may also approve work plan updates and elect new officers.

Code Enforcement Appeals Board

The Code Enforcement Appeals Board will consider four appeals of first administrative citations for vacant lots on Illinois Street (APN 0056026120 and 0056026130) and Kentucky Street (APN 0056151010). Staff recommends the Board uphold each citation and require compliance with the applicable Vallejo Municipal Code sections within 30 days. The meeting also includes routine agenda approval, minutes adoption, and public comment.

Human Relations Commission

The Vallejo Human Relations Commission will meet to approve previous minutes, select a new Chair and Vice-Chair, and discuss its goals and work plan. The meeting will also cover future topics including first responders and homelessness.

Planning Commission

The Vallejo Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Wise Vallejo Auto Complex project. The commission will also consider minutes from the January 6 meeting.

SolTrans Advisory Board

The SolTrans Board will consider several approvals, including a contract award to MOEV Inc. for Energy and Yard Management Systems up to $465,281. It will also adopt the revised FY 2024‑25 capital budget, receive the FY 2023‑24 audit report, and discuss operational updates. A closed session will address the Executive Director's performance review.

Surveillance Advisory Board

An ad-hoc committee will also report on progress of the RAVEN gunshot detection beta project. The board will also consider approving minutes from a December 2, 2024 special meeting.

Architectural, Heritage & Landmarks Commission

City Council

The Vallejo City Council will consider several consent‑calendar actions, including a resolution to amend the Consultant and Professional Services Agreement with MGT Impact Solutions LLC by adding $80,000 for a new not‑to‑exceed total of $175,000. The Council will also vote on a Measure P grant agreement to the Greater Vallejo Recreation District for up to $125,000 to support youth priorities, and will confirm council appointments to various commissions, boards and committees for 2025. Additional routine items include approval of the January 7, 2025 meeting minutes and a procedural waiver to adopt ordinances by title only.

The main action item is a request to add discussion of EDC training as a recurring future agenda item, requiring a two-step process.
