The Burlington Fireworks Committee is inviting applications for food booths at its annual July 3, 2026 fireworks celebration. Booth rentals are $150 each, while non‑profit groups are asked to provide a donation instead of a fee. Only four booths are available and will be allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Applicants must have a food permit in accordance with Kane County Health Department regulations.

Discussion on Village Employee Annual Performance Evaluations and Salary Increases.
The Personnel Committee reviewed recent employee performance evaluations in preparation for
compensation recommendations for the upcoming fiscal year. Consideration was given to workload, overall
performance, employee morale, and retention. The 2.8% cost-of-living increase for 2026 was also noted.
Following discussion, the Committee reached a consensus on compensation recommendations to be
presented to the Village Board. The Committee will present its recommendations regarding salary increases
during Executive Session on January 20, 2026.
Adjourn the Meeting: Al motioned to adjourn the meeting. Deb seconded. Voice vote, motion passed
unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 6:32 p.m.

WHEREAS, safety is the highest priority for the highways and streets of our Village and State; and
WHEREAS, the great State of Illinois is proud to be a national leader in motorcycle safety, education
and awareness; and
WHEREAS, motorcycles are a primary, common, and economical means of transportation that
reduces fue! consumption and road wear, and contributes in a significant way to the relief of traffic and
parking congestion; and
WHEREAS, it is especially meaningful that the citizens of our Village and state be aware of
motorcycles on the roadways and recognize the importance of motorcycle safety; and
WHEREAS, the members of ABATE of Illinois, Inc. (A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education),
continually promote motorcycle safety, education, and awareness in high school drivers’ education
programs and to the general public in our Village and State, presenting motorcycle awareness programs
to over 120,000 participants in Illinois over the past nine years; and
