Thank you. All right. Thank you. during key out-of-school time. We have about 300 students who are participating with those programs, and so we pay certified educators to support those spaces. And so, I don't know how many of you are still working with young people and their academics, but it gets really challenging, and just a traditional adult sometimes feels challenged in being able to support their students. And so, we are very intentional about providing additional supplemental opportunities for educators to be able to live in the space that they work so well in, and also they're able to answer the questions, that's not how my teacher did it. And so, I don't know, you know, when you're working with young people and you remember how you did it when you did it, it's different now. And so, we want to make sure that we're very intentional about overlaying the students with the support that they need without frustrated adults and frustrated students. And so, being able to have those dynamic people support. We do that in a few Title I schools, East Millbrook and Neuse River. And then we also partner with Raleigh Housing Authority. And so, we're providing these spaces for 25 years plus at this point, where we're working with the students in their community. So, transportation is no longer a barrier. And then it really gives us an opportunity to walk in one of the main verticals that's very true to our mission, which is building relationships. And so, where students may leave an …

In 2024, renters earned under, renters earning under $50,000 faced a shortage of roughly 67,000 units, while those earning over $75,000 experienced a surplus of about 50,000 units, as you can see in the figure here. A lot of these figures we pulled from our housing dashboard, and our housing department's goal is to remediate that, both through the development of affordable housing and directly implementing solutions for Wake County's most vulnerable residents. Next slide, please. So I'm sure you all have seen this, but Wake County's point in time count. Our community has done some wonderful work to provide assistance to our homeless neighbors. With our work through Bridge to Home program, we've seen our community's homeless population remain relatively stable, despite ever-growing housing difficulties for the populations we serve, and serving many more people through our homeless service system. In 2026, the point in time count recorded 1,150 people experiencing homelessness in Wake County, with 27% of those experiencing unsheltered homelessness, as you can see in the bar below, and 26% experiencing chronic homelessness. Over the course of the year, 5,264 individuals experienced homelessness within our community. We know that by expanding the Bridge to Home model in our community through initiatives like Wake at Home and others, we'll be able to achieve the county's goal of making …

Thank you. Good morning. great place to live. So if you want to start with the next slide. Just wanted to give you all a little bit of an overview and a reminder. First of all, I'm going to try not to bore people with statistics today, but that, you know, we have a large court system here in Lake County, over 100,000 cases that go through annually. Remarkably, these numbers have remained relatively steady over the 20 years, my first eight years as the elected clerk, and most recently 12 years as district attorney, and with about 10% of those cases being felonies. And we have seen, at least as of May of this year, we are seeing a slight increase in the number of cases that we are having come through the system with about 105,000 filed as of the end of May. The thing I really wanted to point out, though, is that we are back to disposing of, and we've managed to dispose of, and that's when we bring a close to a close about 110,000 cases as of the end of this month. And so, you know, one of the things certainly that I have kept a close eye on over the years is , you know, how are we doing in terms of being able to move cases through the system? And there are a lot of different factors that go into that. But two of the major challenges that I have faced while being district attorney is clearly all of us living through the pandemic of 2020. Courts were shuttered for some of that time, except for essential functions. And we did maintain at all times a courtroom running, but jury tri …

So really, this is a place, Wake Tech is a place where students can quickly tool up at a low cost and get into the workforce and begin careers that will provide them economic fulfillment and economic mobility, huge, huge for our community. And at Wake Tech, we have worked hard to generate over a billion dollars a year for our local economy and graduates earning 10,000 more per year as a result of that. So it's a big program. So, my role at Wake Tech is the Associate Dean of Entrepreneurship and Business and I came on board in October of last year and really hit the ground running with a priority focused on launch, our launch program. Lonswake County exists because we believe that entrepreneurship is one of the most powerful tools for community transformation. When someone starts a business, they're not just creating income for themselves, they're creating jobs, they're spending locally, and they're building something that their family and the community can be proud of. So Raleigh ranks fourth among the nation's best large metros for small businesses because of strong startup activity, an expanding economy, and a growing flexible workspace market. Just a few weeks ago, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony for reopening the stadium to the community and introducing the new stadium name, Nomako Park. I know some of you participated in that event to help celebrate the new beginning for that stadium. And following on the next day, the team had a successful opening day to start their season. As part of the lease, there were key capital improvement projects identified, some of which would be managed by CBC and some of which would be managed by the county and town team. While CBC had a lot of work to set up their own operations, they've worked at lightning speed on completing some of these projects and getting ready for the season. They removed the old grass field and installed a new synthetic turf field. This will make the field usable year-round with minimal maintenance. This project also included some grading and storm drainage improvements. They also upfitted and improved a few of the concession areas, as well as improving some signage throughout the stadium. Next on their list is to work on the stadium lighting improvements and on bleacher seating removal. The bleacher removal is in preparation for the other improvement projects that the county and town are managing, which you see here listed on the right side of this slide.
